  • Ongoing until December 21st – Qualicum Beach Farmers Market – a great way to start your Saturday morning. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, or are a lifelong resident, a visit to Veteran’s Way and Memorial is where you’ll find the best in fresh fruits, vegetables and berries, plants and cut flowers, fresh baked goods, jams and jellies, fish, chicken and pork, as well as a wide range of local crafts.
  • Ongoing – Timberline Dance – Free, live classic Country and Rock’n Roll music that lets you hear yourself think and hold onto your dance partner! Every Wednesday, 7:30 to 10:30 pm Parksville Legion, 146 West Hirst St., Parksville. All adults welcome!
  • Ongoing all year – Old Time Thursday Dances Every Thursday, September to June, 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM – Rotary House, corner of Beach and Fern in Qualicum Beach. A variety of dance styles, including waltzes, reels, jigs, two-steps, polkas, schottisches and more are played by the Coombs Old Time Fiddlers from a large repertoire of classic and country tunes. The format is two hours of dancing with a half-hour intermission. Non-alcoholic refreshments are provided. Admission $2.50 and snack included. Info: 250-586-3743.
  • December 6-8, 13-15, 18-22 – Milner Christmas Magic 2013 - Come stroll through tens of thousands of lights, enjoy local musicians and story tellers, stop by Santa’s shop for a visit, pop into the Teddy Bear cottage and try to count all of the old Bears, and enjoy tea or hot chocolate in the tea room. The gates open from 5:00 to 8:30 each night (recommend entry by 8:00).
  • December 7th – Coombs Country Christmas Craft Sale- Saturday, December 7, Arrowsmith Hall, Ford Road, Coombs (behind the General Store). Great, local, handcrafted gifts. www.coombsfair.com or 250-752-9757. Proceeds to support the Coombs Fair and 4-H activities.
  • December 7th – Qualicum Beach Christmas in the Village- Qualicum Beach Christmas in the Village, 6-9pm on Saturday
  • December 12-29th – Echo Players Presents Cinderella, The Greatest Pantomime… With a Twist! - Laugh, boo, jeer, shout ‘It‘s behind you!’ – and sing along to your heart’s content. The classic story of Cinderella – with an unexpected twist – is coming to stage at the Village Theatre, Qualicum Beach, December 12 – 29. Scripted by Simon Nye (Men Behaving Badly) this “Panto With a Twist” promises to be a fun filled event for all the family with plenty of singing, dancing, laughs, magic and lots of audience participation.
  • December 13-31 – Winter Wonderland on Ice- The holiday elves have been busy transforming Oceanside Place Arena into a Winter Wonderland. Special lighting and décor along with a touch of holiday magic will make you feel as though you’re skating on an outdoor pond under the light of the moon and millions of twinkling stars.   • December 14th – The Errington Hall Christmas Craft Fair - The ‘Original Show’ on Dec. 14 will offer a vast range of high quality, locally hand crafted gifts, foods, and scrumptious lunches, as well as coffee, tea, goodies and more. Come and feel the traditional Christmas Spirit while you shop locally in the historic Errington War Memorial Hall – 1390 Errington Rd. All proceeds of the table sales go toward the maintenance of the Errington Hall. The Fair will run from 10am – 3pm
  • December 15th- Comfort and Joy Concert – The Oceanside Concert Band and the Oceanside Grandmothers present ‘Comfort and Joy’ – an afternoon of music for the entire family. The 4th annual Family Christmas Concert welcomes back soloist Rosalee Sullivan and features Second Wind, a saxophone trio. Admission is by donation with all proceeds shared equally between the Salvation Army Mt. Arrowsmith Community Ministries and the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers Campaign. Settle into the holidays and enjoy some of your seasonal favourites. Doors open at 2:00 pm
  • December 18-24 – The Golden Buddha Light Display - Come and view the beautiful seasonal light display in the gardens of the 15 foot high Golden Buddha! Gift Shop Open with Tibetan and Indian treats and FREE snacks and apple cider! Wednesday Dec 18 through and including Christmas Eve 5:30pm – 7:30pm. FREE! All ages Welcome! *Weather permitting!
  • December 20th - Coombs Country Opera – Old Time Country Western Music. 7:00 pm every third Friday, Sept – May.
  • December 21st – Christmas on the Farm- 9th annual FREE, open house, at Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, 11:00 to 3:00, Saturday, December 21. Free “Carol Wagon” rides, live music, live manger scene, warm munchies, hot mullings, cookies and more…FMI: www.cheeseworks.ca.
  • Ongoing for December – Oceanside Light Tour- The Oceanside Light tour is an annual event in the Parksville, Qualicum, Coombs, Nanoose area. Donate $20 to have your house listed on the tour and people can enjoy your light display. People vote for their favorite display, and if your home or business wins you will enjoy a luxury Christmas Eve light tour with up to 11 friends and family in a beautiful stretch limo from Vancouver Island Limousine services.   • December 31st – Ring in 2014 with An Affair to Remember – New Years Eve event, 6:00pm to 2:00 am, at the Quality Resort Bayside, brought to you by VIP Auto Detail. Tickets available at VIP Auto Detail, Sunrise Ridge, The Quality Resort Bayside, Island Cleaning. Cost is $100 per person
  • December 31st – New Years Eve Party- at the Parksville Community Centre this December! There will be a fantastic DJ, an entertainment only casino, free photo booth, catered dinner, favors and safe ride home that night – all for $100 per person ~ or come after dinner for the party and pay $70 per person, including late appies.

  • Ongoing until December 8th – TOSH Music On Sunday Concert Series –  Every Sunday afternoon (2:30 – 4:30pm) from September 15 to December 8 we will once again present an eclectic variety of the finest professional musicians from all over the world in the beautiful intimacy of our Main Gallery. Tickets for all concerts are available now.
  • Ongoing all year – Old Time Thursday Dances Every Thursday, September to June, 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM – Rotary House, corner of Beach and Fern in Qualicum Beach.   • November 2nd – Oceanside Atom Generals Halloween Fundraiser Dance- Featuring music by Baby Jane. Saturday 7pm – 12 pm Qualicum Beach Civic Centre. No Minors. Prizes for best costumes, shuttle by donation, costumes not mandatory, silent auction. Tickets, $20 – available at Wilde and Sparrow, MOD Apparel, and Cranky Dog Music.

  • November 8-10 Christmas In Coombs Craft Fair - Christmas In Coombs Craft Fair is a 3 day fair.
  • November 9th Knox Perfect Gift Christmas Craft Fair-. Be sure to join us at the Knox “Perfect Gift” Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, November 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Knox United Church, 345 Pym St., Parksville. This large, popular, family event presents a great variety of Crafts, Food and Artisan creations offering many original gift selections for all ages. Get an early start on your Christmas shopping as you support Knox United Church and our many talented, local crafters. The Fair offers Festive Music, a delicious Light Lunch at our Concession, Free Admission, and Convenient Parking – Don’t miss it!
  • November 15-16 – 4th Annual All Decked Out Crafters Market – Friday, November 15th will be an exclusive 19+ ticketed evening of shopping and mingling 5pm-9pm. Tickets will be $10 each, which includes a signature cocktail, donation to local charity and entry to All Decked Out Nov 16th. Live music providing entertainment. Leading up to Saturday, November 16th 10am-3pm which will be a full day of shopping.
  • November 21st Moonlight Madness in the Village (Nov 21) – Moonlight Madness in the Village Thurs, Nov 21, 2013 5pm – 9pm. Come and enjoy Moonlight Madness in Qualicum. Get a head start on Christmas with in store specials, and enjoy a special evening in Qualicum when the village lights up. It’s a great family event.
  • November 22-24 2nd Annual Celtic Winterfest Craft Fair – Parksville’s 2nd Annual Celtic Winterfest Craft Fair celebrates Arts, Crafts, Music, Food, Fun and Prizes. Come join us on November 22-24 at the Parksville Community Centre, to an event that will surpass any preconceptions you may have of a “craft fair.”Full of live entertainment, a student art show case, Haggis Hunt for children, complementary beverages and treats, talented artisans and 1000’s of dollars in hourly give aways. Thrifty Foods is kindly giving away a $50 smile card every hour. Bring the whole family to the Parksville Community Center on Nov 22-24 – Fri 12-8pm, Sat 10am-6pm & Sun 10am-4pm to enjoy a festival and craft fair that will satisfy the whole family.
  • November 22-24 – Elegant Threads, Fibre Art Show & Sale – Elegant Threads is the annual show and sale of the Qualicum Weavers and Spinners Guild. It includes one of a kind clothing and accessories, heirloom linens, luxury yarns and whimsical creations. There will be demonstrations and an opportunity to talk to the artisans. Admission is free. 11am to 6pm Friday Nov 22. 10am to 5pm Saturday Nov 23. 10am to 3pm Sunday Nov 24.
  • November 22-24 – The Original Village Christmas Arts Fair- The Original Village Christmas Arts Fair in Qualicum Beach is a unique look at what local artists have been up to all year! Show and sale of local artwork. Nov 22-24 at the Qualicum Beach Community Centre.
  • November 22nd - Winter Art Walk in Qualicum Beach – Winter Art Walk in Qualicum Beach 2013 will take place all day on Fri, 22 November. Art Walk will be an incredible event, located in and around Qualicum Beach, down town core plus out lying areas watch for more posts!
  • November 30th- Morning Glory School’s Annual Christmas Fair-  Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. Family crafts and activities, wholesome food cafe, Silent Auction, vendors with unique gifts; many items handcrafted. We are located at 861 Hilliers Rd off Hwy 4 just minutes from Qualicum Beach.
